Notes: J.J. Tindall had been playing in bands on Chicago's northwest-side scene and decided to form his own band. Answering ads from the Reader, Dave Boyd on drums and Don Kuhns on bass joined up to be Gronk. A regular at Phyllis' Musical Inn, Gronk labored in a foggy obscurity until it eventually spun-off in three separate directions.
